AIRLINE RESERVATIONS:

The meeting venue/hotel is approximately 29 minutes (13 miles) from Rio de Janeiro/Galeão International Airport (Airport Code: GIG). Please complete an online Travel Request Form via the following weblink so that your airfare can be pre-paid by the AMC ODMC:

Once you have submitted an online Travel Request Form, a World Travel, Inc (WTI) travel agent will email you and the AMC ODMC a draft itinerary for review.

Air travel for this meeting must be booked via the AMC ODMC to ensure that air travel is Fly America Act compliant (https://www.gsa.gov/policy-regulations/policy/travel-management-policy-overview/fly-america-act), economy/coach class travel. These federal guidelines require that travel be booked with U.S. Flag Air Carriers (basically any airline based in the United States) to the furthest point possible using the most direct or expeditious route, regardless of cost and convenience. 

Air travel that is not Fly America Act compliant will not be covered or eligible for reimbursement by the AMC.
 

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION:

If you request airline reservations via the weblink above, the AMC ODMC will be using a copy of your final itinerary to coordinate airport transportation from Rio de Janeiro/Galeão International Airport (GIG) to the Hotel. A confirmation will be emailed to you, along with transportation details/instructions prior to the meeting.

If you would rather use your own method of transportation, please email us at amipm@emmes.com  at least 10 business days before the meeting so that we can remove you from the pre-arranged airport transportation list. Please note that if the AMC makes airport transportation arrangements on your behalf and you make alternate plans, you will be responsible for the cost.
